Phone Interview Complete

Well that's the worst part over! I have completed my telephone interview with Yummy Jobs today. I spoke to a lovely lady called Hannah who really put me at ease. The worst part of the whole thing is actually waiting for your phone to actually ring! I was expecting the call at 11.30am and it got to 11.35 and it still hadn't rang! My heart was having a little panic, 'did i put the right number? did i book the right day?!' But at 11.37 the house phone rang and all was ok!

I managed to jot down the questions as I was being asked them so that I could share them with you all! I had lots of answers prepared for maybe sneaky questions they might ask or toughies that I couldn't make up on the spot - but no! Nothing hard about it what so ever!

I got asked:
-Can you confirm your University and Course
-How is it going so far?
-Why do you want to do this program?
(I work in the Disney Store so i got asked about that too)
-You might work up to 50/60 hours, 6 days a week. How would you cope with that?
-How would you feel about sharing an apartment with up to 8 other people from around the world?
-Which start date would you prefer?

The dates were as follows:
May 2nd - ??July (didnt catch that one)
May 25th - 6th August
June 1st - 20th August
June 20th - September 3rd

So, Hope this helps you out a bit! Leave me a comment and let me know if you got the same questions!

Phone Interview Time

So today I arranged my phone interview with Yummy Jobs.

It seems like I have been waiting forever for them to come around, but they are now here! So I gave myself plenty of time to prepare and arranged it for tomorrow. . . . WHAT!? Yes I gave myself a whole 24 hours to sort myself out!

Now the madness behind this theory is that I will get it out of the way and also I think im more likely to get put through at the start than I am towards the end when they are sick of hearing the same answers over and over again!

So wish me luck!

I GOT AN EMAIL!

So, some of you might know that I have applied for the Disney World College Program. If you didn't know - you do now! Anyway, to get more to my point, I got an email today from YummyJobs(who are the people you apply through!) and here is what it said;

Congratulations!!! You are though to the next stage.

Greetings Simon

Many thanks for your application on
www.yummyjobs.com and your interest in the Walt Disney World International College Program for the Summer 2010. After reviewing your application, we are delighted to inform you that you have been selected for the next stage of the application process which is a telephone interview. This interview will be an informal conversation for us to get to learn a bit more about you and discover why you would like to work for Walt Disney World!

We will be contacting you in the next 2 weeks with more information about this stage of the application process, so do keep an eye on your emails.

We look forward to speaking with you soon!
All the best,

The Yummy Jobs Team

How EXCITING is that?! Now some of you will also know that I have previously applied for a Disney Program. Last year I applied for the Cultural Representative Program, however I booked a holiday at the same time the face to face interviews were so could not attend and had to withdraw. Sad times!

But maybe this is my time? Just maybe I will be able to get through the phone interview alright and then straight on to the Face to Face. . .only time will tell I suppose!
